September, 2016 – Israel. A 65-year-old surveyor was killed at a work site to widen Road 531 in Sharon, when a truck traveling backwards ran over him. Three months prior, another surveyor was killed under the same circumstances at a site to widen Highway Six. The same contracting company was responsible for both cases.

The director of occupational safety and health said that an order had been issued to stop the work for 48 hours, and it is still unclear whether the accident will be defined as a road accident or an accident in the construction industry. Police said that according to the suspicion, a truck driver drove backwards and hit a worker on the spot. The case is being investigated.
