Tangential gunshot wound of the left cheek from a 9 mm bullet. If a bullet is deformed or tumbles prior to striking the body, the tendency to produce cruciform or stellate wounds is further accentuated. A tangential gunshot wound of the face may simulate a stellate contact wound.
