A woman was found prone on the floor next to her bed with her nightgown displaced upward, exposing her naked buttocks and legs. Patches of blood were on the bed near the body, and the back of her nightgown was bloody. A screwdriver was on the carpet next to her face; photographs were taken of this potential weapon.

Blood was on the carpet beneath the body. Examination of the body disclosed stab wounds to the neck, chest, abdomen, and back, with defensive injuries on the hands. A bloody knife on the scene was photographed with a scale. The cause of death was stab wounds.
