Double suicide, also known as suicide pacts or suicide by two or more individuals, is relatively rare compared to individual suicide. Most suicides are committed by individuals, and the majority of suicide cases involve people who do not have a pact with others to end their lives simultaneously.

Double suicide may occur for various reasons, such as a romantic couple facing extreme distress or circumstances, individuals with shared goals, or even cases where one person coerces or influences another to commit suicide together. However, these cases are far less common compared to individual suicides.

It’s essential to understand that suicide is a complex issue influenced by a range of factors, including mental health, social support, access to means, and societal pressures. If you or someone you know is struggling with thoughts of suicide, it’s crucial to seek help from mental health professionals or support organizations as soon as possible. There are resources available to provide assistance and guidance in times of crisis.
