Allegations of brutality at the hands of police are not infrequent in today’s litigious society. This young man was shot by police officers after a robbery led to a street-side gun battle. After viewing medical examiner identification photographs, family members expressed concern that this individual had not only been shot but beaten as well. Photographic documentation of the injuries, and of the rough ground at the scene, adequately demonstrated that the abrasions resulted because of a terminal collapse onto asphalt, and not police brutality.
