Suicidal twelve-bore shotgun wound. Not all such wounds are circular – this one has torn a large defect in the chest wall because of its tangential orientation. The smoke smudging is extensive, having overshot and been deflected from the wound interior. The precordium is another common site for suicidal shooting.
